Amidst the massive surge in Covid-19 cases in India, power couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli came forward to offer help. Yesterday the couple had announced their initiative #InThisTogether under which aimed to raise Rs. 7 crores for Covid-19 relief. The couple contributed Rs 2 crores in their initiative. Today, Anushka shared that their fundraiser managed to collect over Rs 3.6 crores in less than 24 hours. The Sultan actress also thanked everyone for their contribution.

Tweeting about their initiative, Virat had shared, “Anushka and I have started a campaign on @ketto, to raise funds for Covid-19 relief, and we would be grateful for your support. Let’s all come together and help those around us in need of our support. I urge you all to join our movement. Link in Bio! ? #InThisTogether.”

Now as their fundraiser crossed the halfway mark, expressing her gratitude Anushka shared, “Grateful to everyone who has donated so far. Thank you for your contribution ?. We have crossed the half way mark, let’s keep going. ?? #InThisTogether#ActNow #OxygenForEveryone#TogetherWeCan #SocialForGood(sic).”

Amidst the Covid-19 crisis, Anushka didn’t celebrate her 33rd birthday on May 1. A week later, she announced her Covid-19 relief initiative along with Virat.

Apart from Virushka, several other celebs like Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Bhumi Pednekar, Sonu Sood, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt among others have gone out of their way to help those suffering in the crisis.
