Sikandar Director AR Murugadoos Admits To Manifesting Working With Salman Khan; Says, “I Was A Struggling AD…”

Salman Khan is undoubtedly the biggest superstar in the nation, enjoying a tremendous fanbase ahead of Sikandar’s release. While he is everyone’s favorite, working with him is also a dream come true for filmmakers. Having collaborated with many renowned directors, he is now teaming up with A.R. Murugadoss, a filmmaker known for delivering numerous hits. While this collaboration is special for the audience, it is even more special for the director, as A.R. Murugadoss had dreamt of directing Salman Khan for over a decade—a dream that has now manifested into Sikandar.

AR Murugadoos Reveals Wanting To Direct Salman Khan Someday

At the trailer launch of Sikandar, the director shared, how, this long-cherished dream turned into reality. Director A.R. Murugadoss shared how special the film is for him, recalling how, as a struggling assistant director visiting Prasad Cinemas, the seed of directing Salman Khan was first sown in his heart. He said, “Long back, I was a struggling AD (assistant director). I wanted to watch a shoot and hence, I went to Prasad Studios, Chennai to watch a shoot.”

The director further added, “I entered. I had no idea what shoot it was. Suddenly, I saw Sridevi ma’am. I was amazed to see Sridevi ma’am (for the first time)! Then suddenly, I also see a hero’s backside.” Salman Khan found it funny and asked his director, “Backside?” It led to a lot of laughs. Murugadoss continued, “He was combing his hair. I tried to see who it was. He turned and it was none other than Salman sir!”

A R Murugadoss continued, “I thought, ‘One day, I’ll direct him in a film’! After so many years, I finally directed him!” It’s truly an incredible story of strong manifestation by director A.R. Murugadoss, as his dream of working with Salman Khan has finally come true with Sikandar. Moreover, the trailer showcases Salman Khan delivering yet another action spectacle, winning hearts with his signature style and swag. Now, all eyes are on this Eid as Salman Khan gears up for Sikandar.
