Yesterday, there were reports that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) yet again summoned Arjun Rampal for questioning in the drugs case. As per a report in ABP News, senior officials from the anti-drugs agency has said that the actor has asked for more time till December 22 as he is occupied with personal work.

The agency had asked Rampal to appear before them on December 16. Last month NCB conducted a raid at Rampal’s residence and they seized electronic gadgets and some medicines banned under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. His partner Gabriella Demtriades was also questioned by the agency.

Earlier, after his name came up in the drugs case, Arjun had told reporters, “I have nothing to do with drugs. I have a prescription for the medicine which was found at my residence and the prescription has been handed over to NCB officials. I am cooperating with the investigation and the NCB officials are doing a good job.”

NCB had also arrested Arjun’s friend Paul Bartel and Gabriella’s brother Agisialos Demetriades. According to ANI report, the special NDPS has granted bail to Agisilaos and ordered to pay a surety of Rs, 50, 000. The court also asked him to submit his passport and not leave India without informing the NCB officials.

For the unversed, NCB has been probing the drugs case since Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. While investigating his case, many names from Bollywood cropped up in connection to the drug nexus in Bollywood.
