Arjun Rampal-starrer ‘Daddy’ is quite slow at the box office, but it is steady. However, it looks like Arjun is quite happy with the response that his film has received. The actor took to Twitter to thank everyone for giving an overwhelming response to the movie.

He tweeted, “I just now wanna say Thank You to everyone for this overwhelming response. You fill me up with gratitude. Jai Shambu Narayan #Daddy.”

However, this is not it. The actor has another reason to celebrate.

‘Daddy’, which is a biopic on Arun Gawli, is doing quite well in Maharashtra as the gangster-turned-politician hails from the state. So, as the movie is getting the good response in the state, the screens have been increased. 35 more screens have been given to watch ‘Daddy’ in the state which is quite good. ‘Daddy’ has mostly received positive reviews from the critics, and moviegoers are also liking the film. Arjun Rampal’s portrayal of Arun Gawli is being liked by everyone and it is touted to be Arjun’s best performance till date. The movie also marked the Bollywood debut of Aishwarya Rajessh who played the role of Asha Gawli. Her performance is also being liked by everyone.

Well, Arjun is happy with the response his film is getting let’s see if the movie will be able to be a hit at the box office or not.

Akshay Kumar has once again hit the right chord with his latest offering ‘PadMan’. The film is making all the right noise in creating and spreading the awareness about sanitary pads and menstrual hygiene. Receiving praises from everywhere for his performance, recently the actor shared a reaction he has got for his act and it was from none other than his son Aarav Kumar. (Also Read: Akshay Kumar urges Pakistan to release ‘PadMan’ in the country)

In an exclusive interview to DNA India, he shared this. Upon being asked if he discusses his projects with his wife Twinkle Khanna or son Aarav, he replied, “No! They just come and watch my films. When my son watched ‘PadMan’, he came up to me, patted me on my back and said, ‘Dad, good job!’ So, he enjoys all the films that I do.”

Well, surely this reaction from his son would’ve made Akshay proud. Further, the fact that his son understood and loved the concept which is considered a taboo in the society, it seems that Akshay’s movie has taken steps in the right direction.

Talking about the film ‘PadMan’, it also stars Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in pivotal roles, and is directed by R Balki.

The film marks the debut of ace Malayalam director Jeethu Joseph, who is popularly known for helming the original ‘Drishyam’ starring Mohanlal, which was later remade in Hindi with Ajay Devgn playing the lead role.

This yet untitled crime mystery thriller with elements of horror project will be jointly produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Azure Entertainment.
