Coronavirus has adversely affected many nations. All the daily wage workers have been hit by major crisis due to the lockdown as they have become jobless for months now. The entertainment industry has been badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. All shootings have been stopped across India to contain the spread of the virus. And, as a result, many have been rendered jobless. Recently, Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Dreamgirl’ co-star, Solanki Diwakar was spotted selling fruits in the streets due to his financial crisis.

Diwakar has had to resort to his old profession of selling fruits so that he can earn a living.  He has been jobless since past two months. The 35-year-old actor, who is a father of two, has been part of many movies like ‘Hawa’, ‘Halka’, ‘Kadwi Hawa’, ‘Titli’, ‘Dream Girl’ and ‘Sonchiriya’.

He believes that there is no work big or small so he has gone to selling fruits on the street to earn money and support his family. In an interview with ANI, “With the lockdown being extended I have to take care of my needs. I have to pay my rent and also need money to meet the expenses of my family. So I have turned back to selling fruits,” said Diwakar.

Solanki was also going to act alongside Rishi Kapoor in a movie, but unfortunately, that won’t be happening anymore as the veteran actor passed away on April 30. Diwakar revealed that if it wasn’t for Coronavirus, he would be in Mumbai shooting for a film. Solanki hails from Agra and has been living in Delhi for over 25 years now. He makes his sale in Okhla Mandi, one of the largest wholesale fruit and vegetable market in Delhi.
