Ayushmann Khurrana is having the best phase of his career and he is establishing himself as a star who stands by brilliant content cinema. His latest film, Dream Girl, is on an incredible box office run as it grew from strength to strength and collected Rs 44.57 crore net during the first weekend. The film is set to be a huge hit and it will soon turn out to be Ayushmann’s sixth blockbuster in a row.

Ayushmann is obviously thrilled with the appreciation that he has been receiving for his outstanding acting and his precision to choose the best scripts in town. “It has been a fantastic weekend for ‘Dream Girl’ and I’m thrilled with the response and love. The era of good content in here and audiences want to see the most disruptive, different content in every genre. I’m glad that people are connecting with the kind of cinema that I’m doing and it only motivates me to be braver with my film choices,” he says.

As an artist, Ayushmann wants to do the best films in every genre. “For me, ‘Dream Girl’ is a film that shows audiences what a clean family comedy should be. It is a solid entertainer that people can bring their entire family to the theatres. It is a paisa vasool movie in its truest sense. An actor like me always wants to entertain audiences in the best way possible and ‘Dream Girl’ gave me the opportunity to make people laugh this time after making them ponder and spark a debate with ‘Article 15’ earlier this year,” he says.

First ‘Article 15’, now ‘Dream Girl’ and then another solid content film ‘Bala’ – Ayushmann is definitely set to have a huge year at the box-office. He says, “‘Dream Girl’ is a brilliantly written script that has connected with the masses in a big way. For me, ‘Dream Girl’ is having a dream run at the box-office and is making 2019 a very special year for me.

After this, Ayushmann also has ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ and ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ for next year.
