Ayushmann Khurrana is definitely on cloud nine. He recently won the Best Actor Award at the National Film Awards 2019 for ‘AndhaDhun’. His performance as a blind pianist (or is he really blind?) was loved by everyone.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Ayushmann opened up about his victory. “When I got to know about it [award], I was shooting. Within 10 minutes, I received 40 missed calls. I was really anxious to know what had happened. When I started reading my messages, I got to know about it,” he said.

Earlier, to celebrate his victory, Ayushmann had also shared a poem on his Instagram handle.

He also spoke up about how his family was really emotional. “It was a very emotional moment for my family. My father called me. He was almost choking and couldn’t even form a straight sentence. Therefore, I told him: Papa, badmein baat karlena. My wife was emotional. More than me, they were emotional. It was overwhelming. I could not express myself as there were so many people on the sets who started applauding. I couldn’t have a moment on my own,” he said.
