Babil Khan Confirms Exit from Sai Rajesh’s Film After Criticism Over Viral Breakdown Video, Says, “Will Take Some Time Off”

Actor Babil Khan was soon supposed to mark his big screen debut with director Sai Rajesh for Baby remake. However, looks like all the plan has foiled as Babil has now announced his exit from the film after backlash due to emotional video he shared. The actor and director shared posts on social media confirming the news.

Babil Khan Confirm Exiting Sai Rajesh’s Film

In the lengthy post, Babil stated, “With a lot of grit, passion, and mutual respect, Sai Rajesh Sir and I both got along on this journey of creating magic together. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, things didn’t go ahead as everyone had planned (sic). Since I will be taking some time off currently, I wish the best to Sai Rajesh Sir and the film team on their future journey. I know there is immense love between us, and we will meet soon in the future and create magic together.”

Confirming the end of their collaboration, director Rajesh also called Babil “one of the most talented and hardworking actors.” He further wrote, “However, I have to accept this unfortunate reality of the situation. After spending time with Babil while prepping, I was very happy to be working with such a talented actor. I will miss my Hero ! I respect his decision of self care first, and wish him all the best and send him all the love in the future !”

For those unaware, a video of Babil Khan went viral on May 4, showing Babil Khan weeping bitterly and talking about feeling isolated in the industry. In the video, he named several industry colleagues, which led to much discussion. His family and team clarified that the video was widely misinterpreted and reassured fans that the actor is safe and will be feeling better soon. After the incident, director Sai Rajesh called out Babil’s team for not acknowledging him and others who stood by him. The Qala actor then in one of the comment sections said that he endured personal suffering for his role in Sai Rajesh’s film as he was disheartened by the claim.

On the work front, the actor was last seen in Zee5 Film Logout.
