EXCLUSIVE: Prateik Smita Patil REACTS To Babil Khan’s Viral Emotional Breakdown Video; Says, “Being Irrfan Khan’s Son Is Not Easy… I Cried For Him”

Actor Prateik Smita Patil responded strongly to a video shared by Babil Khan, where he got emotional and talked about feeling left out in the film industry. In the viral video, he seemed to indirectly mention actors like Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Raghav Juyal, and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Later, Babil explained that people had misunderstood what he was trying to say in the video. Now, Prateik has come in support of the actor and has reacted to his emotional breakdown video that went viral on the internet.

Prateik On Babil Khan’s Viral Video

In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Prateik talked about mental health and how it affects actors who deal with pressure in their day-to-day lives. He feels connected to Babil and understands what he went through, speaking about the same he said, “He is Irfaan Khan’s son it is not easy to deal with, he passed away at the most crucial stage of his life. He was a teen. I relate to it and I have been having a few debates with my friend about it. Whatever it is if he is harming himself it is wrong but you have to put it in perspective and you have to understand what that baby has been through. I understand it more than anybody else. He lived a life with his father.”

He further added, “His father made it beyond anybody in this industry could make it. My heart goes out to him and I was crying for him yesterday. I know what you feel and I was a child to a legend for me who never existed. You can compare since both were legends.”

Prateik also shed light on the scrutiny that comes along with coming from a film family background and being born to legends, he concluded, “You have to take it with a pinch of salt, it comes with a territory with a profession especially if you are born with famous parents. It’s not easy I feel for Babil. I wish him well, all the love and healing. I know his father is looking out for him.”

All About Babil Khan’s Viral Video

In the now-deleted video, Babil was seen teary-eyed and said, “Bollywood is so f****d. Bollywood is so, so rude.What I mean to say is that I just want you guys to know there are people like Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav and even… Arijit Singh? There are so, so many more names.”

Soon after, he deleted the video and also deactivated his social media handle. Later, his team issued an official statement on the fiasco and clarified that a viral video where he appeared emotional was a result of a difficult day and was not a criticism of his colleagues. The statement also clarified that the video was misinterpreted and taken out of context and that Babil was actually acknowledging the contributions of his peers.
