Boney Kapoor refutes reports of Anil Kapoor testing Covid-19 positive on ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ sets

Since morning there had been reports that ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ actor Anil Kapoor along with director Raj Mehta, Neetu Kapoor and Varun Dhawan have tested positive for Covid-19. But now Boney Kapoor has refuted the claims and cleared the air about Anil being Covid-19 positive. The film’s shooting commenced in November this year. It marks the return of Neetu Kapoor to films after seven years. The film also stars Kiara Advani and YouTuber Prajakta Koli. ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ is backed by Dharma Productions.

Boney Kapoor told Times of India, “Anil has tested negative.” Till now, Varun, Neetu and Raj have not yet posted anything.

Anil Kapoor has also tweeted, “In the interest of putting any rumours to rest, I have tested negative for COVID-19. Thank you all for your concern and good wishes”.

Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani had earlier shared the first look on social media. They introduced each other’s characters as “happy wife” and “happy husband.”

The team started the shoot by taking all the necessary precautions. A few days ago, Neetu Kapoor had shared a video on Instagram of her undergoing the Covid-19 test. She deleted her post later.

Even Varun had taken the Covid-19 test when he resumed work.

As per a report in Pinkvilla, Kiara Advani has tested negative and Prajakta Koli is waiting for her results. Varun Dhawan and Neetu Kapoor are currently under quarantine.
