The highly anticipated film Border 2 has just released in theatres, and early reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Fans are raving about this patriotic war drama featuring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh. Here’s a look at the fees of the Border 2 cast!
Border 2 Cast Fees Revealed
Sunny Deol is the sole actor reprising his role from the original 1997 film Border. He plays Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler of the 6 Sikh Regiment and is reportedly the highest-paid actor on set. According to News18, Deol is earning Rs 50 crore for his role.
Varun Dhawan takes on the role of Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, a recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. He is said to be charging between Rs 8-10 crore for his part in the war epic. Diljit Dosanjh portrays Fg Offr Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, PVC, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra. The singer and actor is also reported to be earning Rs 8-10 crore from the project.
The ensemble cast also features Ahan Shetty, Sonam Bajwa, Mona Singh, and Medha Rana. However, their salaries have not been publicly disclosed.
Border 2 BANNED In Gulf Countries Like Dhurandhar?
Set against the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan War, Border 2 is a war drama. The film blends fictional events with real incidents to showcase the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces during the conflict, with Pakistan depicted as the adversary.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the film will not be released in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. “Films perceived as having ‘anti-Pakistan’ content typically do not get a release in this region,” the report noted. Sources confirmed to HT that while there is no official ban, these Gulf nations tend to avoid releasing movies that portray Pakistan negatively.
About Border 2
Border 2 is expected to have a spectacular opening, with trade sources estimating collections between Rs 32-35 crore. This would mark the biggest opening of the careers for Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. It will be the second-largest opening for Sunny Deol after Gadar 2. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, the film also features Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, and Anya Singh in significant roles.
