On its release day, January 23, the early morning shows of Border 2 have reportedly been cancelled due to incomplete content at the cinema halls. The film, which runs for approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes, requires several hours to download even after the content becomes available. Sunny Deol’s Border 2 is scheduled to release in theaters this Friday, but sources indicate that the content was not delivered until late on January 22, creating confusion and concern among distributors and exhibitors just hours before the scheduled screenings.
Border 2 Early Shows CANCELLED In Mumbai
With only about 10 to 12 hours remaining before the shows were to begin, industry insiders expressed worries over potential delays or cancellations of the morning screenings. According to reports in Film Information, digital delivery platforms like UFO Moviez informed regional distributors and theater owners that the download process might cause further delays. A senior trade source mentioned that the final content was expected to be available around midnight, but given the current status, morning shows appeared highly unlikely.
The film’s lengthy runtime further complicates matters, as it would take several hours—estimated between three to four hours depending on bandwidth and system readiness—to download the full content at each theater. UFO Moviez has also formally communicated the delay to exhibitors via WhatsApp, stating that the download would only begin on the morning of release day, tentatively at 6:30 am. The message read, “Dear all, download of Border 2 will start at 6.30 am tentatively on 23 January, 2026. Please keep the system ON. Thanks. UFO MOVIEZ.”
