Cannes 2018: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan or Deepika Padukone- who grabbed more eyeballs?

This year several Bollywood actresses opened their Cannes diaries on a high note. However, it was Deepika Padukone’s appearance in hot pink Ashi Studio couture and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s bedazzling appearance in a dramatic ‘butterfly’ gown by Dubai-based designer Michael Cinco that made everyone sit up and take notice of them.

Aishwarya who completed her 17th year at Cannes Film Festival as L’Oreal Paris brand ambassador effortlessly walked the red carpet with an astounding three-meter train trailing behind.

Whereas leggy beauty Deepika Padukone’s hot pink ruffled dress was too novel that naturally, all eyes were on her. But it was former beauty queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who won the brownie points for her amazing appearance in that butterfly inspired gown. Unfortunately, Deepika Padukone got trolled for her frilly pink gown with attached huge-wing like sleeves. The netizens even started comparing Deepika’s look with extinct species of a dinosaur!

While Aishwarya walked the red carpet for the premiere of Eva Husson’s French drama ‘Les filles du soleil’, Deepika is back in India post her appearance at the French Riviera.
