Bollywood actor Nawazuddin  Siddiqui’s brother Ayazuddin has been booked for hurting religious sentiments. Apparently, Ayazuddin posted an objectionable post on Facebook and soon after that, a complaint was filed against him by the Hindu Yuva Vahini members.

However, Ayazuddin refusing the allegations told ANI, “A man posted a derogatory pic of Lord Shiva. I confronted him about it and wrote you shouldn’t share posts that can hurt anyone’s religious sentiments. Instead, a case was filed against me. Charges should be investigated.”

Talking about the case, Hariram Yadav Deputy Superintendent of Police in Muzaffarnagar told The Hindu, “The FIR was registered against Ayazuddin under 153A of the IPC (promoting enmity between different groups on ground of religion, race, place of birth). The FIR was registered after an activist came to the police station with a complaint against him.” (Also Read: Arjun and Anshula Kapoor shower praises on Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘Dhadak’ trailer)

Yadav further added, “Frankly, it looks like Ayazuddin had no intention of hurting anyone. He has not written anything offensive. All he did was to write something rejecting the offensive picture and post which was shared on the social networking website. He wrote something to the effect that condemned the offensive post but while writing it he also copy pasted the offensive picture which is the reason behind the HYV’s anger and complaint. It was after the HYV’s complaint that police registered an FIR against him under section 153A.”

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has eight siblings and he is the eldest of them all. The actor hails from Budhana a small town in Muzaffarnagar district in Uttar Pradesh, India.
