Changing nappies and more, here’s how Kalki learnt to be a young mother for ‘Ribbon’

There’s no doubt over it that actress Kalki Koechlin is a perfectionist and is someone who takes her work seriously. There are some interesting projects of the actress lined up for release. One such film is ‘Ribbon’ wherein she will be seen playing the role of a young mother of a baby girl for the first time on the big screen. To prepare for her role perfectly, the actress took some training on how to take care of a baby. She also learnt how to change nappies of a baby for this role.

While talking about it to an agency, the actress said, “I read various books on pregnancy and post birth behavioural changes because at that time, a woman body goes through hormonal changes. Rakhee (Sandilya, the director of the film) has a friend who is a new mother, so I used to spend a lot of time with her, learnt how to change nappy, how to give oil massage to the baby, a lot of things, I think I am a pro on that.” [sic] (Also Check: #OOTD: Kalki Koechlin’s pocket dress is the next BIG thing in fashion)

The film stars Kalki opposite Sumeet Vyas, who has earlier been part of films like ‘English Vinglish’, ‘Parched’, ‘Aurangzeb’, etc.

‘Ribbon’ is directed by Rakhee Sandilya, and is produced by Prakash Mondal and Swathi Mondal. The movie is slated to hit the screens on November 3, 2017.
