Actor-politician, Chiranjeevi has tested Covid-19 positive. On Monday, he took to his Twitter handle to share that he has tested positive for the coronavirus. The actor said that he’s ‘asymptomatic’ and has quarantined himself at home. He has requested all the people who have come in his contact in the last few days to get themselves tested.

He tweeted, “Took a test for COVID before resuming ‘Acharya’ shoot as a protocol and unfortunately tested positive. I am currently asymptomatic & quarantining myself at home. Request all those who met me in the last 5 few days to also undergo covid tests. Will update you on my recovery soon (sic).”

In September, Chiranjeevi’s brother and actor Naga Babu also tested positive for Covid-19

As mentioned in his tweet, he was all set to resume shoot for ‘Acharya’ but couldn’t due to Covid-19 positive. Twitter is flooded with tweets from the actor’s fans and the celebrities wishing him a speedy recovery.

Recently, the actor met Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrashekar Rao. The picture from their meeting went viral on social media as both of them were seen without masks in the picture.

Chiranjeevi has worked in Tamil, Hindi and Kannada films. He was last seen in ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’, that also starred Amitabh Bachchan.
