CONFIRMED: Kareena Kapoor Khan to reunite with Aamir Khan in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aamir Khan took everyone by surprise when they shared the screen space for the first time in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘3 Idiots’. The chemistry is definitely one of the highlights of this film. Later the gorgeous diva and Mr. Perfectionist went on to share the screen space once again in Reema Kagti’s ‘Talaash’. However this time they were not romantically paired.

Now, much to the delight of their fans and followers, Bebo and Aamir will be reuniting once again in the latter’s highly anticipated film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. The actress has finally given a green signal to this film. Earlier this year, Aamir had announced ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ on the occasion of his 54th birthday. The film is an official adaptation of iconic Hollywood flick ‘Forrest Gump’ starring the legendary actor Tom Hanks.

Helmed by Advait Chandan(of ‘Secret Superstar’ fame), ‘Laal Singh Chaddha‘ is adapted for the Hindi audience by actor-writer Atul Kulkarni. The film will be bankrolled by Viacom and Aamir Khan Productions.

Opening on the collaboration with Aamir for this film, Ajit Andhare, COO, Viacom18 Studios told Bombay Times, “Knowing Aamir’s burning passion for this subject for many years, he is the perfect partner to bring to life this dream. I also want to thank Jim, Andrew and the wonderful team at Paramount Pictures for believing in our vision and continuously supporting all endeavours to bring some of their best content to the Indian markets.” 

Interestingly, Aamir and his team tried for around eight years to acquire the rights of ‘Forrest Gump’. Now though Kareena is yet to give any statement about teaming up with Aamir again, we are pretty sure that she must be super excited for this project. ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is scheduled to hit the silver screens during Christmas next year.
