Makers Release Official Statement For Deepika Padukone Not Being A Part Of Kalki

Actress Deepika Padukone will not be a part of the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD. The news was confirmed by the film’s makers through an official statement. The reason behind her exit has not been revealed, but the announcement has created a lot of buzz online. Deepika began her acting journey in 2006 with a Kannada film and soon made her Bollywood debut.

Deepika Padukone Steps Away From Kalki 2898 AD Sequel

Deepika Padukone is currently on maternity leave, as she is expecting her first child with husband Ranveer Singh. However, she is already planning a strong comeback. She will be seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s King and Atlee’s upcoming project with Allu Arjun. Earlier, Deepika was also in talks for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film Spirit, but she reportedly walked out due to creative differences.

The makers of Kalki 2898 AD said in their statement, “This is to officially announce that Deepika Padukone will not be part of the upcoming sequel. After much thought, we decided to part ways. A film like Kalki 2898 AD needs full dedication, and unfortunately, we couldn’t align our vision.”

They ended the note by wishing Deepika the best for her future projects. Fans are now eager to see who will take over her role in the sequel, while Deepika’s return to the big screen remains one of the most-awaited comebacks in recent times.
