Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone are known to have a massive following on their social media platforms. Turns out, only half of those numbers are actually true followers. A recent report proves that half of Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra’s Instagram followers are fake.

According to an analysis from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP), Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra have the highest amount of bots i.e, fake followers. Priyanka Chopra who was 10th on the list, is known to have the highest number of Instagram followers in India at 43.6 million, was found to have 46 percent of fake followers.

While Deepika Padukone who has 37.9 million followers also, was at the top in the list at number 6, as she is supposedly having 48 percent fake followers.

The list included other celebrities as well that filled out the spots including famous talk show host and comedian Ellen Degeneres who topped the list with 58 percent fake followers.

Followed by the famous South Korean boy-band BTS that had 48 percent fake followers.

Kourtney Kardashian was third with 49 percent, while Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian both had 44 percent fake followers on the Facebook-owned photo-sharing platform. Katy Perry has 53 percent of her 83.6 million Instagram followers fake. Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus are also ranked high for bots.
