Deepika Padukone tests Covid positive; fans wish her a speedy recovery

After her family, Deepika Padukone has also tested Covid positive as per reports. She is currently in Bengaluru with her family. Earlier today, it was reported that Deepika’s father, Prakash Padukone, mother Ujjala, and sister Anisha, had tested positive for Covid -19. Also, Prakash Padukone is admitted to a hospital for treatment after he had fever. Deepika or her family have not posted anything on this but reportedly, the actress tested Covid positive today.

Vimal Kumar, a good friend and director at the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy (PPBA), told PTI, “Around 10 days back, Prakash, his wife (Ujjala) and second daughter (Anisha), they developed symptoms and got themselves tested and the results came out to be positive.” He also said that they got themselves isolated but after a week Prakash’s fever didn’t come down, so he was admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru.

It was last month, Deepika and Ranveer Singh were spotted at the Mumbai airport as they jetted off to Bengaluru.

We wish Deepika and her family recover soon from the deadly virus.

On the work front, Deepika will be seen with Ranveer Singh in ’83. She will also be seen in Fighter opposite Hrithik Roshan, Pathan with Shah Rukh Khan, Shakun Batra’s yet-to-be-titled film with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday. Also, she has the Indian adaptation of The Intern with Amitabh Bachchan.
