Dhanashree Verma Breaks Silence On Divorce With Yuzvendra Chahal; Says, “I Was Howling & Crying”

Dhanashree Verma recently shared her feelings about her divorce from Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. The couple was married in December 2020 and parted ways after four and a half years together. Dhanashree talked openly about the pain she went through during the divorce.

Even though she was mentally prepared, she couldn’t stop crying in front of everyone. “I was just howling and crying,” she said speaking to Humans of Bombay, and remembering how overwhelmed she felt that day. Chahal walked out first, while Dhanashree stayed behind, unable to hide her emotions.

Dhanashree also mentioned a moment that upset her during the court process. Chahal wore a T-shirt that said, “Be Your Own Sugar Daddy.” When asked about it, she said people were already blaming her for the divorce, and this T-shirt added more fuel to the fire. She joked, saying, “Why wear the T-shirt? You could have just sent a WhatsApp message.”

She also spoke about her efforts in the relationship. Dhanashree said she had always supported Chahal in every way and had stood by him through everything. She explained that her strong emotional reaction on the day of the divorce showed how much she had invested in the relationship.
Today, Chahal is reportedly dating RJ Mahvash. Dhanashree, meanwhile, is focusing on her work and healing from the experience.
