Ranveer Singh’s much-awaited espionage action thriller Dhurandhar released in cinemas on Friday, December 5 and received immense love and appreciation from the masses. While the film amassed Rs 28.60 crore NBOC at the box office on its opening day, sadly, it also got leaked the same day on multiple piracy websites.
Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar Leaked Online
As reported by multiple publications, Dhurandhan – written, directed and co-produced by Aditya Dhar, was leaked online just hours after it released in theatres globally yesterday. The reports state that the leaked film – now present across multiple piracy websites, is available in various resolutions ranging from 240p to 1080p.
This leak has once again sparked concern among fans and industry insiders over piracy. Despite government efforts to combat digital piracy, several films continue to fall victim to illegal online distribution, directly affecting a film’s potential box office earnings.
Dhurandhar was released across 5,000 screens nationwide and witnessed 16% occupancy during its morning shows which rose to 28% in the afternoon – thanks to positive word of mouth. The occupancy for the evening/night show increased much more post 6pm.
