Dhurandhar The Revenge has been taking the box office by storm, not just for its power-packed action, but also for its gritty, gory visuals and mind-blowing storytelling filled with twists that keep audiences on the edge of their seats. When Dhurandhar was first released last year in December, viewers were especially struck by how convincingly the world of Lyari was recreated on screen. The makers had built the entire set in Bangkok, yet the detailing felt so real that many believed it was actually shot in Pakistan.

Now, Abhay Arora, who played Yasir, the younger brother of gangster Arshad Pappu, has addressed the speculation around the film’s authenticity. He revealed that while the set was recreated in Bangkok. Some of the people seen in crowd scenes actually had real connections to Lyari.
Clarifying the rumours, Abhay Arora said to NDTV. “There were some people in the crowd in Bangkok who are actually from Lyari. And when they came on set, they were like, it looks like Lyari. They are residents of Bangkok, and we had a local cast for these scenes, like the crowd, people walking in the back, and people cheering on stage. All these people were cast in Bangkok, and some of them actually come from Lyari, Pakistan.”
