Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi announce birth of baby boy: Anushka Sharma, Kareena Kapoor, Malaika Arora congratulate the couple

Actress Dia Mirza and her husband Vaibhav Rekhi welcomed their first child on May 14. Yes, the couple is blessed with a baby boy. As their son was born prematurely, the couple chose to share the news of the arrival of their baby now. The pregnancy was not easy for Dia has she suffered appendectomy and a very severe bacterial infection.  Following which she had to deliver her baby via emergency C-section.

The actress lit up the internet by sharing the good news of her son’s birth. Several celebs like Kareena Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Tahira Kashyap, Masaba Gupta, Gauahar Khan congratulated the couple upon the arrival of their son.

Earlier today, Dia not only announced the birth of her baby but also revealed his name. The couple has named their new born, Avyaan Azaad Rekhi. Sharing the news with her fans and followers, Dia wrote, “To paraphrase Elizabeth Stone, “To have a child is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.” These words perfectly exemplify Vaibhav & my feelings right now. Our heartbeat, our son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi was born on May 14th. Having arrived early, our little miracle has since then been cared for by tireless nurses and doctors in the Neonatal ICU.” The Sanju actress also shared a glimpse of her son.

Congratulating the couple, Anushka Sharma wrote, “Congratulations to you guys ☺️ and love to the little one”. Kareena Kapoor commented, “God bless you my darling and the little one. Stay blessed and safe.” Sophie Choudhary wrote, “Sooooo much love to you, Avyaan and Vaibhav❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️(sic).”

Bhumi Pednekar, Esha Gupta, Rahul Khanna, Karisma Kapoor, Shibani Dandekar, Malaika Arora, Richa Chadda also showered the couple with love and blessings.

Dia and Vaibhav had tied the knot on February 15 this year.
