Now, veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar who recently appeared on SRK’s show ‘TED Talks India: Nayi Soch’, revealed he was offered to pen lyrics for the film, but refused.

“I thought the movie’s name had a lot of double meaning. I was not convinced to write for this project,” he said.

However, he was quick enough to add that he loved ‘My Name is Khan’.

“But I was all praises for SRK in ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, and I am happy I could be a part of the journey. I used the words I rejected earlier to make a more meaningful song which you all (audience) made popular. It was ‘Kuch Toh Hua Hai, Kuch Hogaya Hai’,” he added.
