Diljit Dosanjh

Diljit Dosanjh has finally responded to the controversy surrounding his recent Aura 2026 concert after videos from the event sparked heated discussions online. The Punjabi superstar clarified that he did not object to any flags or banners inside the venue, but only acted against individuals who were allegedly creating disturbance and abusing fans during the concert.

Diljit Dosanjh REACTS To Pro-Khalistan Flags Controversy

The controversy began after clips from the show went viral on social media. During the concert, Diljit Dosanjh briefly paused his performance and instructed security personnel to remove a few attendees from the venue. Several reports later claimed that pro-Khalistani flags and banners had triggered the incident.

Now, reacting to the ongoing discussions through an Instagram story, Diljit shared a strongly worded message in Punjabi. He wrote, “If someone brings a banner or flag, it usually means they want to show they’ve come from a certain place and support us. But if you’re standing outside with the same banner abusing my fans, and then trying to do the same thing inside the venue too, I’m not going to tolerate this.”

Clarifying further, the singer dismissed claims that he objected to banners or flags themselves. “I didn’t say anything to any banner, don’t spread fake narratives,” he added. Diljit also stated that he only asked security personnel to remove those who were allegedly disrupting the event and creating a nuisance.

The actor further revealed that he had chosen to remain silent about the issue for a long time but now felt the need to respond publicly. Concluding his statement, he wrote, “Love & Peace.”

About The Controversy

Earlier, a video from the concert had surfaced online where Diljit was heard saying, “Jitne jhande dikhane dikhao.” According to reports, a section of attendees had allegedly protested during the concert. While the exact reason behind the protest remains unclear, some reports suggested that certain individuals were upset over Diljit’s recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and his absence from Punjab during the recent floods. However, no official confirmation regarding the protest’s motive has emerged so far.

On the professional front, Diljit Dosanjh is currently preparing for the release of Main Vaapas Aaunga, directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film also stars Sharvari and Vaadigang Raina in lead roles.

With his latest clarification, Diljit attempted to put an end to the controversy while reiterating that he would not tolerate disruption or abusive behaviour towards fans during his performances.
