Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has given hits like ‘Sholay’, ‘Zanjeer’, Deewar’ and ‘Don’among others. His ‘Angry Young Man’ image from the movie ‘Zanjeer’ became very popular in the 70s. But did you know by whom was this persona of Big B created? He is none other than actor, producer and screenwriter Salim Khan. It was him who wrote scripts for cult movies that moulded Mr. Bachchan’s career. At the 49th International Film Festival of India, Salim Khan was conferred with the special award ‘Indian Film Personality Of The Year’.

Today, was the closing ceremony of the film festival where the Prestigious Award Ceremony was held. Actor Kabir Bedi gave away the award for Indian Film Personality Of The Year to Salim Khan. As he couldn’t make it up to the event, his son Arbaaz Khan took the award on his father’s behalf. Talking about Salim Khan, Kabir Bedi said, “Films may be an audio visual medium. But it all begins with the written word. Great stories are written by great writers.”

That’s true indeed! Had there been no screenwriter like Salim Khan, there would not have been an actor like Amitabh Bachchan. Isn’t it?
