Mouni Roy recently delivered a terrific performance in Brahmastra. Mouni played the role of Junoon and won hearts with her villainous act in the film. The Ayan Mukerji directorial also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and Nagarjuna. Shah Rukh Khan has made a cameo in Brahmastra. King Khan played the role of Mohan Bhargava aka Vanarastra.

Now, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Mouni opened up about playing ‘Junoon’ and said it was the ‘most difficult role to play’. We must say Mouni as Junoon nailed it and how! Mouni Roy also spilled the beans on working with Shah Rukh Khan in Brahmastra. For the uninitiated, Mouni is the only cast member of Brahmastra who got an opportunity to share screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in the film. Talking about her experience of working with King Khan, she said, “It was magical.”

The actress went on to add, “He is a magic manic man and so much energy. We have shot 6-7 nights, he was just as peppy and spontaneous and as flamboyant as he would be at 7 pm as he would be at.. he would exactly be the same at 5 am in the morning. I mean, he is just so intelligent, so well-spoken, so witty, so kind. I had so many questions every single day and he would just gladly answer them all and it was lovely. He was just lovely.”

When asked what kind of questions she would ask him on the sets, Mouni shared, “How he approaches a character. His body of work is huge and if I pick up like 5 films every day and ask questions that would.. They could be about his process or they could be about some sort of narrative, they could be about some incidents or experiences so it was a mix bag of goodies.”

Brahmastra released in theatres on September 9. The movie is doing tremendously well at the box office. Brahmastra has collected Rs 128. 50 crores at the domestic box office. On the other hand, Bollywood Bubble gave 4 stars to Brahmastra. A part of Brahmastra review reads, “Brahmastra is one visual extravaganza that you can’t afford to miss it. It is a visual treat which is backed by shining performance. The plot is not as strong as one would hope but the VFX of the film is the selling point that will drive you to the theatres. The fact that Ayan Mukerji has tried something so different and unique is applaudable.”
