Akshaye Khanna Or Fahadh Faasil, Who Will Play The Antagonist?

Salman Khan is currently grabbing headlines for his upcoming film with Nayanthara, even as speculation continues around who will play the antagonist in the project. According to a report by Mid-Day, the makers are considering Fahadh Faasil and Akshaye Khanna for the negative lead. A source told the portal, “The script demands someone who can stand toe-to-toe with Salman. Both Fahadh and Akshaye bring different energies. That’s exactly why the team is taking its time before locking an actor. Earlier, the team was also considering Arvind Swamy.”

The report also mentions that while the team is currently completing the Manali schedule, the antagonist needs to be finalized before the Hyderabad schedule begins. The source added, “The antagonist will have to be roped in before the Hyderabad leg begins, as the face-off portions will be shot in that stint.”

The untitled film, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, also stars Nayanthara as the female lead. This marks the first collaboration between Salman, Nayanthara, and the director. The team recently began shooting the action drama in Mumbai. The project is currently referred to as SVC63, being the 63rd production of Sri Venkateswara Creations.

Salman Khan’s Upcoming Film To Release On Eid

Reports further suggest that the makers are planning a special promotional video to unveil the official title. As per Mid-Day, “As is the case with many South films, titles of big releases are launched in style with visual assets. While the movie’s shoot has begun, the team has decided to film a separate video asset with Salman to unveil the title.”

Meanwhile, Salman Khan recently shared a video from the mahurat ceremony and also confirmed the film’s release timeline. The action entertainer is slated for an Eid 2027 release. In his post, he wrote, “Thoda durr ki sochna chahiye, that’s why announced Eid… Don’t worry, iss wali ka bhi bataenge when the time is right… Patience, thoda sa sabar… Mere jitna hi intezar karna padega. Baharhaal, jo aapka haal hai, woh hi mera bhi haal hai… haha.”

Salman Khan and Nayanthara are coming together for the first time in a high-octane action drama tentatively titled SVC63. The film is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju. The Salman Khan starrer went on floors in Mumbai in April 2026 after a traditional pooja ceremony held around April 18, 2026, marking the beginning of its shoot schedule. It also marks the first-ever on-screen collaboration between Salman Khan and Nayanthara.

Backed by strong buzz as a large-scale action entertainer, the film is currently aiming for a grand Eid 2027 theatrical release.
