Recently, actor Kangana Ranaut’s Twitter account was “permanently suspended” after she tweeted on the West Bengal assembly election poll results. She was blaming the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) for violence in the state and also urged the BJP government to impose Presidential rule in the state. After her Twitter account was suspended, she started posting videos on Instagram talking about Bengal violence and Mamata Banerjee. Well, now an FIR has been filed against Kangana for allegedly spreading ‘hate propaganda to incite communal violence’ in West Bengal.
Dr. Riju Dutta, TMC spokesperson filed the picture of the FIR. He tweeted, “I have filed an FIR against Ms. Kangana Ranaut for spreading “Hate Propaganda to incite Communal Violence” in Bengal and distorting the image of our Hon’ble CM – @MamataOfficial!! She shared from her official Instagram acc: https://instagram.com/kanganaranaut?igshid=1j1e44ojw0ky7 Check her story and RT !!(sic)”.

In one of the posts, Kangana wrote that Mamata Banerjee should be behind the bars for Hindu genocide. Check out some of her posts here.
After suspending Kangana’s Twitter account, a spokesperson from the micro-blogging site said in a statement, “We’ve been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behaviour that has the potential to lead to offline harm. The referenced account has been permanently suspended for repeated violations of Twitter Rules specifically our Hateful Conduct policy and Abusive Behaviour policy. We enforce the Twitter Rules judiciously and impartially for everyone on our service.”
