On Thursday (March 19), a massive fire broke out in a house diagonally opposite to Shah Rukh Khan’s house Mannat in Bandstand, Bandra, Mumbai. As per a report in Mid-day, a 20-year-old girl died and her househelp is injured. The incident took place at Sea Spring building in the area. Officials identified the girl as Evana Morrece, and her househelp Sifra Japhari has suffered 90 to 100 percent burn injuries. She is in a critical situation in the ICU.

The official of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) told the publication, “After being alerted, the fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and doused the blaze in some time. Two women were later rescued from the flat and they were immediately rushed to the nearby Bhabha Hospital.”

As per a report in IBTimes, “The intensity of fire came into notice in the wee hours on the sixth floor of the six-storied Sea Spring Apartment, at Bandra Bandstand, around 7.30 a.m. Soon the firefighters were called and battled the fire. They retrieved the body of Evana Morrece, who was pronounced dead at a hospital A 38-year-old woman, Sifra Jafri, was also rushed to the Bhabha Hospital in a critical state with more than 90 percent burn injuries because of fire.”

Nothing has happened to Shah Rukh Khan and his family. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
