Bollywood actor Govinda was admitted to CritiCare Asia Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday after he reportedly lost consciousness. According to PTI, the veteran star was rushed to the hospital following a brief spell of uneasiness.
Govinda Rushed To Mumbai Hospital
As per an India Today report, Govinda’s lawyer Lalit Bindal shared an update about his health. “He was feeling disoriented. All tests are done, and we are now awaiting reports and opinion of neuro consultation. He is stable now,” Bindal said.
The incident occurred just a day after Govinda visited veteran actor Dharmendra, who is currently recovering at Breach Candy Hospital. In a video, Govinda was seen leaving the hospital with a serious expression, sparking concern among his fans.
This marks the second time in a year that the actor has been hospitalised. In October last year, he suffered an accidental injury when his licensed revolver misfired, causing a bullet wound to his knee. The mishap took place around 4:45 am as Govinda was preparing to leave for Kolkata. “I was about to leave for a show in Kolkata. It was about 5 in the morning. Aur uss time par vo giri aur chal padi (and it just fell and went off). I was shocked by what happened and when I looked down, I saw a fountain of blood,” he had recalled after the incident.
Following that accident, the actor was discharged three days later and thanked his well-wishers with folded hands.
Govinda remains one of Bollywood’s most beloved stars, known for his incredible comic timing and dance moves. With hit films like Coolie No. 1, Hero No. 1, Raja Babu and Partner, the actor built a legacy that spans over three decades. His last release was Rangeela Raja in 2019.
