Gurmeet Choudhary Salman Khan

‘Wajah Tum Ho’, his first film as a lead actor, was a dud at the box office, but Gurmeet Choudhary is not disheartened and will be next seen in Manish Harishankar’s ‘Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana’. In the film, two protagonists get trapped in a royal wedding and consequences follow.

Gurmeet, who is much fond of Salman Khan, says his character (Veer) is much similar to ‘Prem’, an iconic character played by Salman more than once.

“I am a big fan of Salman Khan and Rajshri Films. My character Veer is exactly like Prem, just the names have changed. I have been watching Salman’s films since childhood,” he told the press at the trailer launch event. (Also Read: Actor Gurmeet Choudhary gets robbed, loses valuables worth Rs 1.6 lakh)

Khan’s ‘Prem’ came into existence with director Sooraj Barjatya. Barjatya is known for making films that reflect the traditional family values of India that are being carried on for many years now. The last time that we saw Salman playing one such role was in ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ (2015).

‘Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laddoo Deewana’ also stars Saurabh Shukla, Vivaan Shah and Akshara Haasan.
