Hansal Mehta, Apurva Asrani, Kangana Ranaut

A few days ago, writer of ‘Simran’, Apurva Asrani wrote a long post expressing his displeasure over the lead actress Kangana Ranaut being credited as a writer before him and how he felt cheated as both Kangana and the director Hansal Mehta arm twisted him into stealing his writing credits. Post his outrage on Facebook, he got many supporters and Kangana and the director were severely criticised. Post that, producer Shailesh Singh came out in support of Kangana and now the director, Hansal Mehta has penned a long letter reacting over Asrani’s claims. He has captioned it as, “Yes I am guilty. Guilty of crediting individuals who contribute to making my films very special to many of us. And..”

The teaser of the movie was released online some days back and it didn’t really give us a hint of the concept, but reportedly it revolves around the real story of Sandeep Kaur, an Indian woman who gets arrested for bank robberies in the US.
