Aamir Khan reveals why Rajinikanth didn't dub for 'Dangal'

A few days ago, there were reports that superstar Rajinikanth has been approached by actor-producer Aamir Khan to dub for the Tamil version of his upcoming ‘Dangal’. However, the Thalaiva had turned down the offer politely. But recently, the Perfectionist revealed the real reason that actually stopped this magic happening on the big screens.

Talking about it at an event, Aamir Khan said, “The film is being dubbed in Tamil and Telugu, and yes, I did approach Rajini sir. Rajini sir also loved the film and after discussing it with him, both he and I decided that his voice is too recognisable.”

“He is so famous and so recognisable, and his voice won’t suit my face. I also felt that and he also felt that after discussing it. But he really loved the film, and he was encouraging,” added the ‘3 Idiots’ actor.

Further, Aamir Khan even added saying that he would love to work with Rajinikanth again as he is a big fan of him.

Not many would remember but Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan have shared the screen space in ‘Aatank Hi Aatank’ which was highly inspired by the Hollywood movie ‘The Godfather’. It had released in the year 1995.

Talking about ‘Dangal’, it is a biographical sports drama based on wrestling coach Mahavir Singh Phogat (played by Aamir) who trained his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari in this sport.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, it is slated to hit the silver screens on December 23, 2016.
