Homebound FIRST Poster Out! Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor And Vishal Jethwa’s Film To Premiere At Cannes 2025 On THIS Date

Indian cinema takes a proud step onto the global stage as Neeraj Ghaywan’s Homebound is set for its world premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. Starring Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor, and Vishal Jethwa, the film has been selected for the Un Certain Regard section, which showcases bold, original, and visionary storytelling.

Homebound To Premiere At Cannes 2025

This marks Ghaywan’s much-anticipated return to feature filmmaking after his acclaimed debut Masaan in 2015. With its emotionally rich narrative and strong performances, Homebound promises to be a standout entry, reflecting the evolving voice of Indian cinema at one of the world’s most prestigious film festivals.

The makers unveiled the first official poster of Homebound on May 14 along with the announcement of its premiere date May 21, 2025. Dharma Productions, which produced the film, shared the news on Instagram with the caption, “Some bonds carry us through. Presenting the first poster for HOMEBOUND, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and starring Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa & Janhvi Kapoor. Premieres at the Cannes Film Festival on 21st May 2025.”

The film also marks Neeraj Ghaywan’s return to feature filmmaking nearly a decade after his widely acclaimed debut, Masaan (2015). Adding to the film’s global appeal, legendary director Martin Scorsese has joined as executive producer.

Homebound tells the moving story of two childhood friends from a rural Indian village who dream of becoming police officers. As years pass and ambitions grow, their deep bond begins to strain under pressure. The film explores themes of friendship, loyalty, and personal transformation.
In addition to the lead cast, the ensemble includes Shalini Vatsa, Tushar Phulke, and Pankaj Dubey.

The 2025 Cannes Film Festival runs from May 13 to May 24, and Homebound stands as one of the few Indian films to earn a spot this year. It is promising to bring heartfelt storytelling and strong performances to an international audience.
