Arjun Rampal and Hrithik Roshan

The year of 2017 started with a bang. Hrithik Roshan delivered the first hit of the year by portraying a blind man in his film ‘Kaabil’. The movie earned positive reviews from all corners and critics were left speechless with his performance. Calling it to be Hrithik’s one of the finest performance so far, critics appreciated his efforts from heart and soul. But looks like this has become a little troublesome for Arjun Rampal, because he is the one to play blind in his upcoming film ‘Aankhen 2’.

Hrithik, of course has set a benchmark with his act in ‘Kaabil’, and hence there seems to be a burden on Arjun to match up to that level. But on the contrary, Arjun states that he is not competing with Hrithik at all.

In his latest interview, Arjun stated that he is not competing with anyone but instead has a challenge to raise the standard of his deliverance. He stated, “‘Aankhen’ is always a special film in my career and still people talk about this film wherever I go… technically we are much improved and now we want to take the movie to another level”.

Talking about his role in the film, Arjun revealed, “I am trying to carry forward the role from the prequel and how to enhance it and for that, I need to train hard.”

‘Aankhen 2’ is a sequel of ‘Aankhen’ that had released in 2002. The prequel starred Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Sushmita Sen apart from Arjun Rampal.
