Farhan Akhtar returns to writing, fans wonder if he is working on Shah Rukh Khan starrer Don 3 script

Farhan Akhtar is a busy man and his latest picture is proof of the same. His partner in Excel Entertainment Ritesh Sidhwani recently shared a picture on Instagram which shows Farhan sitting with a laptop. In the caption, Ritesh mentioned that Farhan has returned back to writing after a long hiatus.

Sharing the photo, he wrote, “100% focus even when he’s putting pen to paper (err… fingers to keyboard) @faroutakhtar is back in writer mode after a long hiatus. Guess what he’s working on…”

Farhan’s fans are wondering if he is working on Don 3 script. A fan commented, “Don 3 for sure because that is the only announcement left I guess.” Another one wrote, “Don 3 please let it be Don 3.” “Please sir Don 3,” wrote a fan. Another one wrote, “I hope its Don 3.”

On the other hand, Farhan is all set to return to direction after a decade with Jee Le Zaraa. The film stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.

In August, last year, Priyanka had penned a long note expressing how she ended up being a part of the movie. She had shared a picture with Alia and Katrina and captioned, “Let’s rewind, to me musing about wanting to do another Hindi movie ASAP, on an unusually rainy night in Mumbai in Nov 2019.”

She added, “But it had to be the right one – different, cool, never been done before… I thought. The idea grew into a movie helmed by an all-female cast. There are not enough Hindi movies that are female multi-starrers. This led to an impulsive phone call… to my 2 real friends about this idea that involved 3 on-screen girlfriends. A celebration of friendship we called it!” The actress further added that she, Katrina and Alia met to discuss the same and then met Farhan, Ritesh, Zoya Akhtar and Reema to take things ahead.

She ended her note saying, “This one is to sisterhood… to friendship and to breaking the mould! Can’t wait to get on the road with Aloo and Katty. My heart’s smiling.”
