Junaid to Direct Father Aamir Khan

Yaah Son of Mr. Perfectionist will direct him in Raju Hirani’s next Peekay, which stars Aamir opposite Anushka Sharma. Shooting for Peekay is slated to start around the end of this year and the film is scheduled to release in 2013.

While the film marks Khan junior’s launch into Bollywood, blockbuster maker Hirani makes his debut as a producer with Peekay.

“It was Hirani’s suggestion that Junaid assist him on this film. Junaid is a regular on the sets of his dad’s films and has often been spotted learning the ropes of the craft keenly.

“Hirani was reportedly impressed by his cinematic awareness and eye for detail,” a source close to the unit of the film, said.
Aamir was initially taken aback with Junaid wanting to work with Hirani as he did not want his son to neglect his studies.
