Kabir Singh Mid-Ticket Review

I’m at the special screening of ‘Kabir Singh’ and here are my thoughts after the first half of the film.

A Shahid Kapoor show from the first frame to the last, the first half of ‘Kabir Singh’ is extremely engrossing. You can empathize with Kabir (Shahid) even though he has a nasty anger management problem.

Kabir falls in love with Preeti (Kiara) in a medical college. While Preeti is a shy girl, Kabir is an extremely arrogant mischief monger who can punch people at the drop of the hat. To the rest of the world, Kabir is an angry young man who gets his way by hook or by crook. To Preeti, he is a compassionate being with love in his heart.

Towards the end of first half, the plot thickens and Preeti’s family does not approve of her relationship with Kabir. That’s when the self destructive phase seems to start and we just can’t wait for the second half to begin.
