Actress-politician Kangana Ranaut is an individual who has always spoken her mind irrespective if it would earn her praise or backlash on social media. The Bharatiya Janata Party MP (Mandi), in a recent chat, opened up about her hectic schedule owing to being both an actress and a politician. She also spoke about how her political career is affecting her work in films. Read on to know all she said.
Kangana Ranaut: My film work is suffering
During a recent chat with Variety, Kangana Ranaut opened up about the difficulties she faces given her dual careers of being an actress and a politician. Talking about the same, the ‘Emergency’ actress shared, “Being a parliamentarian is a very demanding job. Especially in my constituency, we’ve had floods, so I am all over the place. I have to go to Himachal and see to it that things are being taken care of.”
Recent heavy rains caused devastation in her constituency, adding more duties to her already packed schedule. This in turn has forced the actress-turned-politician to juggle between being a parliamentarian and her commitments in the film industry. Stating that her political career is impacting her film work, Kangana said, “My film work is suffering. My projects are waiting. I’m not able to start my shoots.” With the parliamentary sessions dictating her availability now, Kangana is awaiting details about another parliamentary session -such as the winter session, to adjust her shooting dates accordingly.
Kangana: Way too much is happening in my life
Despite the overwhelming nature of her current situation, Kangana remains steadfast in her commitment to both roles. Stating that she will follow the path that ultimately resonates with her the most, the actress said, “I’m very open, and whatever needs me more and engages me more as a person, eventually I’ll take that route. But right now, it’s just way too much happening in my life.”
