In her latest interview Republic TV, Kangana said that filmmakers like Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra sidelined Sushant Singh Rajput. So much so that Rajput’s contract with Yash Raj Films prevented him from taking up offers of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Apparently Bhansali wanted to cast Rajput in  ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’.

Talking about Rajput’s fallout with Aditya Chopra, Kangana said, “YRF talent agency had been handling his work and prevented him from working with other directors and instead promised him a movie with a big director (Shekhar Kapur). That film was cancelled too. When Sushant rebuked and claimed autonomy over his career, they had a big showdown and Aditya Chopra told him that no one will work with you.”

She went on to say that Karan Johar called Sushant a flop actor after their film ‘Drive’ couldn’t find exhibitors. “After two years Sushant gave a hit with ‘MS Dhoni’, now Aditya Chopra doesn’t work with him. But his best friend, childhood friend Karan Johar comes into the picture. Very strategically he hires him and then he shoots for this film for 3 years and then he (Karan) declares to the world ‘Such a flop star, I can’t sell the film to exhibitors’. I want to know after a blockbuster like Dhoni, how does Karan Johar not have a buyer for a film called ‘Drive’. How does that work?,” Kangana asked.

We wonder what Karan has to say about Kangana’s claims. Until then you guys stay tuned to this space for more updates.
