Kangana Ranaut

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is unequivocally her own individual and goes by the principle of calling a spade a spade. The ‘Queen’ actress has rubbed quite a few people the wrong way and doesn’t care about perceptions. Now, Kangana in an interview has opened up about ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’.

‘Manikarnika’ was involved in a lot of controversies and despite that, it did quite well at the box-office. Kangana’s film has also been selected for the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, Asia’s largest film event. Along with Kangana’s film, Alia Bhatt-Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Gully Boy’ and Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘AndhaDhun’ will also be screened at the festival.

Kangana, in an interview with PinkVilla, talked about this development and said, “We are thrilled with this development, especially when ‘Gully Boy’ was hailed by the entire industry and there was not a single word by anyone on ‘Manikarnika’. The movie mafia tried to kill this film but for ‘Manikarnika’ to get commercial success and now international recognition along with other celebrated films is a big slap on movie mafia’s face. You can’t stop a good film especially in this time and age when the world is all one big family because of social media.”

Meanwhile, Kangana will be next seen in ‘Mental Hai Kya’ alongside Rajkummar Rao.
