Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor has again tested positive for Covid-19. The ‘Baby Doll’ singer had returned from London and it was only a week back when she confirmed that she has contracted the deadly disease. However, the drama surrounding her doesn’t seem to cease.

Kanika is currently being treated at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences after her initial report had certain discrepancies. The latest reports claim that the singer is complaining about not being fed properly and her room is full of dust and mosquitoes. However, the hospital authorities have rubbished her claims.

The singer speaking about her treatment had told Times of India, “I’ve been here since 11 am and all I’ve been given is a small bottle of water to drink. I’ve been asking these people to give me something to eat but I’ve only been given two small bananas and an orange that had flies on it. I am so hungry, I haven’t even taken the medicine that I was supposed to till now. I have a fever, I’ve informed them, but no one has attended to me. The food I brought with me has been taken away. I can’t even eat anything that’s given to me as I am allergic to some foods. I am hungry, thirsty and I feel miserable here.”

Rubbishing her claims Dr RK Dhiman, Director of the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) told Ahmedabad Mirror, “Every four hours one team is “donned off” their gear and another shift takes over. The room is cleaned every four hours. She is being provided with a Gluten-free diet from the hospital kitchen. Kanika’s claims are all baseless. She has been provided with the best that is possible in a hospital. She must co-operate as a patient and not throw tantrums of a star in Lucknow.”

He further added, “Utmost care is being taken, but she must first start behaving as a patient and not a star.”

Upon her arrival from London, Kanika didn’t self-isolate her and instead she was seen partying with a large group of people. Soon after she confirmed that she is Covid-19 positive, an FIR was filed against her in UP for negligence.

Thankfully the majority of people who came in contact with the singer in the party have tested negative. In India, around 504 Covid-19 positive cases have been registered whereas 10 deaths have been reported so far.
