Karan Johar is quite excited about his upcoming magnum opus ‘Kalank’. The film that was to star the late actress Sridevi, is in news for the coming together of yesteryear actor’s Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit after a long hiatus. The period drama also has Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan sharing screen space once again.

As reported by DNA, A huge set is built in Film City and it is under heavy security to ensure that pictures of the interiors are not leaked. The team is taking extra measures to keep the look of the cast under wraps too.

Reports further states, Karan has spent Rs 15 crore to build an Old Delhi set in the city. He has got Amrita Mahal Nakai to work on the set’s design and structure. An old Delhi mohalla with a Mahal has been created, mainly because ‘Kalank’ is set against the backdrop of the partition. Since the film is based in the 1940s, the team has designed the sets keeping that particular period in mind.
