Karan Johar took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “Film announcement on Monday! STAY TUNED! @apoorvamehta18 @Bps_91 @ShashankKhaitan @DharmaMovies.” Is the ‘My Name Is Khan’ director hinting at horror franchise?

As per the tweet, the film which will be helmed by Shashank Khaitan is slated to hit the screens on November 15, 2019. And Shashank Khaitan enjoys a good rapport with Johar and had last directed Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter starrer ‘Dhadak’.

Karan Johar’s last couple of productions i.e. ‘Student Of The Year 2’ and ‘Kalank’ have not done quite particularly well at the box-office. And KJo has taken full responsibility for it.

Karan is now all set to direct his magnum opus ‘Takht’. The film is based on Mughal dynasty and features the likes of Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal, and Anil Kapoor in lead roles.
