Kartik Aaryan Starrer Naagzilla Not POSTPONED; Actor To Wrap Up Shoot In February- Report

Kartik Aaryan is currently filming the creature comedy Naagzilla in Mumbai and is on track to complete the shoot by the end of February. The schedule is aligned to meet the planned release date of August 14. To stay on schedule, the filmmakers have also begun work on the VFX concurrently. Sources reveal that director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and Kartik are working on the film’s penultimate leg in Mumbai, with plans to finish filming by the end of February.

A source told Mid-Day, “Ravi Kishan is also part of the ongoing schedule. In February, the crew will move to Delhi for the final leg, which will last about a month. Once that’s done, principal photography will be complete, and March will be dedicated to patch work.”

To ensure the film hits its August release, VFX work is being carried out alongside the shoot. “Since it’s a VFX-heavy project, the makers want everything to be perfect to deliver an immersive experience. Once filming wraps up, the team will assess the remaining work and the time needed to complete it,” added the source. This creature comedy marks Aaryan’s second collaboration with Dharma Productions, following the upcoming film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera, scheduled for 2025.

Karan Johar shared a motion poster and teased the film’s release on August 14, 2026, during Naag Panchami. It will be produced by Karan Johar, Mahaveer Jain, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and Sujit Jain. Naagzilla has franchise potential based on its performance. Rumours suggest Ravi Kishan has joined the cast, though official confirmation is awaited. This marks Kartik Aaryan’s second collaboration with Karan Johar, following Tu Meri Main Tera.
