Kartik Aaryan Wraps Poster Shoot Of Naagzilla; Filming To Begin From THIS Date

Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for an adventurous new role that’s unlike anything he has done before. After the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the actor is all set to headline Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain’s upcoming creature comedy-drama titled Naagzilla: Naag Lok Ka Pehla Kaand. The film promises a mix of humor, fantasy, and drama, with Kartik playing a shape-shifting serpent. According to reports, Kartik completed the film’s poster shoot in Mumbai today, and the main shooting is set to begin on November 1.

Naagzilla Official Announcement And Release Date

As per a report by Pinkvilla, the Shehzada actor kicked off his journey with a special photoshoot that hints at his exciting transformation in Naagzilla. The film, officially announced in April 2025, will release on August 14, 2026—perfectly timed with both Independence Day weekend and Naag Panchami celebrations. 

Kartik will be seen as Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an “Ichchadaari Naag” (shape-shifting serpent), in what is being described as one of his most entertaining and unique roles yet.

About Naagzilla

Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, known for his Fukrey series, the film will mark his first venture outside that franchise. Naagzilla is being jointly produced by Mahaveer Jain Films and Dharma Productions—marking the first collaboration between Mahaveer Jain and Karan Johar. The makers reportedly plan to turn it into a franchise if the first installment performs well. Actor Ravi Kishan is also rumored to be part of the ensemble cast.

Kartik Aaryan’s Work Front 

Besides Naagzilla, Kartik will next be seen in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri alongside Ananya Panday. He’s also working on a musical romantic drama with Sreeleela directed by Anurag Basu, and has two more films lined up with acclaimed directors Shimit Amin and Vishnuvardhan.
