About The Film

Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, Kesari Chapter 2 is co-written by Tyagi and Amritpal Singh Bindra with dialogues by Sumit Saxena. The historical courtroom drama boast of a stellar ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar as Sankaran Nair, R Madhavan as Advocate Neville McKinley and Ananya Panday as Dilreet Gill. The film also starred Simon Paisley Day as General Reginald Dyer alongside Regina Cassandra, Alexx O’Nell, Amit Sial, Krish Rao and Steven Hartley.

Giving the film a 4 star rating, Bollywood Bubble wrote in its review, “This courtroom drama – that tells the untold story of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, has hit the nail when it comes to engaging the audience and leaving them with a re-ignited flame of patriotism.” It added, “This film should be watched in theatres.”

As off today, the film has amassed a total domestic box office collection of Rs 39.16 crore.
