Kesari Mid Ticket Review

If patriotic films float your boat, then ‘Kesari’ is something that is right up your alley. There is a lot of chest thumping, and director Anurag Singh successfully recreates that era. While the first half of the movie is dedicated to do building the characters, the second half promises to show us the real war. Coming to the story, Havildar Ishar Singh (Akshay Kumar) is transferred to Saragarhi as a punishment for disobeying a British officer’s orders.

Akshay’s performance is top notch and his dialogue delivery is inspiring as always.

As far as the negatives are concerned, almost all the jokes fall flat and the Britishers are depicted as typical barbarians. At certain times, I found that the story is unnecessarily dragging itself. Also, Parineeti Chopra has a blink and you miss it role.
